Tulum is famous for their popular festivals, which offer a mix of deep house, techno, afro-funk, and it’s very own new genre of “Tulum Jungle Beats” (iykyk). The reason Tulum’s music festivals outshine others is because of the locations. Dancing in the sand is always a good time, but dancing in the middle of the jungle or at a cenote under the stars is something you can only do in Tulum! It’s special, and attracts the most enthusiastic, talented artists and DJs like Rüfüs Du Sol, Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, Martinez Brothers, All Day I Dream, Diplo, and more!
Each festival has an impressive production team that blends breathtaking stage sets, vibrant light shows, professional acrobatics, dancers, fire shows and more creating an unforgettable experience for visitors from all over the world.
The most special aspect of Tulum’s festivals is the respect each production team and artist has for the land they play on. At most festivals, especially Zamna and Day Zero, you’ll see an attraction of Mayan Warrior Dancers showcasing their ancestry through dancing to the beat of the drum. Zamna, meaning “the only true god” in Mayan represents the Mayan people, their culture and sacred land.
